Joaquín de Juan

Born in Madrid, Spain, in 1965. Graduated in Fine Arts from the Complutense University of Madrid. He began his photographic practice during his university years, consolidating his professional and documentary approach from 2019 onwards.

To date, he has self-published two photobooks and a zine, including “Intermitencias” (Self-published, 2021), “Luz de Cemento” (Ediciones Umbral, 2023), and the experimental zine “Pasillo 4” (2024). He has received several awards, such as the Young Photography Prize from the Community of Madrid for his first solo exhibition, “La periferia invisible” (2022), and was a finalist in the Madrid Contemporary Photography Competition (2021).
